This majestic flower embossing board card is great for spring, but you can use it any season! Add your own personal message inside for a sophisticated card for your next special occasion.

Materials:

  • Majestic Impressions Embossing Board
  • 6mm Embossing Tool
  • 1 Sheet Of Letter Size Card (Card Main Body)
  • Top Score Board (And Scoring tool)
  •  Drier Sheet Or Candle
  • Scrap Pieces Of Card In Various Coloursnts
  • Faux Gem Brads
  • Adhesive
  • Foam Pads

Step 1

Cut a small piece of card large enough to fit over the large central oval, and lay this face down on the board. Hold it in place with low-tack tape.

Rub over the reverse of the card with a dryer sheet or candle wax, and begin with your tool in the central leading channel at the bottom of the design.

Step 2

Push the tool firmly into the channel and push upwards, applying pressure onto the card.

Push the tool until you feel the ball meet some resistance; this usually means the channel has changed direction or shape. Continue around the board until you have embossed the whole design. Carefully cut around the frame on the outside of the embossed lines.

Step 3

Repeat the above process with excess scrap pieces fo card over top of the lily flower. Use various coordinating sheets and on some emboss the outer pattern, others the inner pattern. Cut these out.

Curl the leaves by rolling them over a pencil and then layer the flowers up and secure the centres with brads. Emboss the bow design onto a contrast piece of card in the same way - always remembering to cut around the outside of the embossed line.

Step 4

Take a piece of scrap background paper large enough to cover the solid oval inside the frame. Lay it over the frame and hold it in place with low tack-tape as in stage 1.

Emboss around the paper then cut out on the outside of the embossed design again. Stick this into place over the main frame.

Step 5

Take a piece of Letter Size card and using the Top Score Multiboard, score and fold this into a gatefold shape card. Stick the oval frame to the left hand side of the card only (this allows the card to open) and then position each of the flowers at different angles over the frame to create the look above.

Finish off with the embossed bow at the top centre piece of the card and give this extra dimension using 3D foam squares.

I would LOVE to have tried this craft, but there is no accompaning photo as a guide.

This sounds great, but I am one who does better by seeing a photo of the finished product, even if I don't follow it exactly. :)
