Instructions:

  1. Tulle comes in a lot of interesting varieties in addition to the stiff net-like material we are used to. You can find it with glitter, an iridescent sheen, pearls attached and in a rainbow of colors and metallics.

  2. Cut circles from the tulles you want to layer for your flower. They do not have to be perfect circles but can be if you want – just use a die to cut them out.

  3. Take your lighter and carefully and quickly run it along the edges of your circles. This will seal them and also give your flat circle a bit of dimension.

  4. Run glitter glue around the edges of some or all of your layers if you want.

  5. Use liquid glue and apply tiny dots to some of the layers to glue seed beads on if you want.

  6. Use glue dots to adhere your layers and your flower center.

I am making a variation of these for a newborn baby headband! I have also made these for myself for a brooch pin using several colors of tulle layered in various sizes. They made great gifts too and look lovely as a pretty substitute bow on a package as gift wrap, and as a art of the gift as well as the wrapping! You can make these in several, sizes and also vary the number of layers to change up the look. Lovely!

I have an awesome idea for this pretty and delicate sheer flowers. How about making twelve to fifteen of these to string on a garland made from grosgrain ribbon? Just buy the ribbon of your choice and hot glue these babies onto the length, evenly spacing them. Perfect for a little Princess room or for girly party decorations.
