Beady Retainer or Jewelry Holder

Beady Retainer or Jewelry Holder

Decorate a plastic box to store your retainer, or to hold jewelry. This is a great way to personalize your belongings if you're going to camp or on a trip. It just takes seconds!

Materials:

  • Plastic box such as a dental retainer holder
  • Treasure Tape circle sheet
  • Diamond Beadlets
  • Kreinik #32 Braid 127 Yellow-Orange and 2829 Seafoam
  • A large flat-backed cabochon, button or bead
  • Shallow pan or tray

Instructions:

  1. Remove a large circle from the Treasure Tape sheet and place it in the center of the top of your plastic box.

  2. Remove the red liner to expose the sticky tape, and place the flat-backed cabochon in the center.

  3. Lay the Seafoam braid around the cabochon.

  4. Lay the Yellow-Orange braid in loops around the cabochon, to resemble flower petals.

  5. Lay your container in a shallow pan and pour Diamond Beadlets over remaining sticky areas.

At first I closed it right away but then I re-opened it and thought, this is GREAT. We are going to some friends and I just got some partials and I can decorate my case. Great job Keep up the good thinking.

If you search for Treasure Tape you will find it at httpwww.kreinik.comkshophome.php?cat=284

It does not say where you use the Kreinik thread. Is the yellow center a cabachon? It looks very irregular I cannot find one at all like it. good idea overall. I would not use it for travel because of the raised flower on top. I have a hand made roll with pockets and place to secure pins for travel. I used light weight felt scrap and double sided tape (the kind that comes with red liner. thanks for all the craft ideas

Can find everything except the Treasure Tape sheets. Do you know where I can find.
