Wow. How creative. Granny squares shorts. Very summery, cool, and chic. Perfect for tweens and teenagers. So many granny squares variations can be produced.

I must admit these shorts look cute but I didn't think they would be practical to wear until I read the pattern. It's the undercarriage part that makes me laugh but makes them wearable and the drawstrings too. I wonder if I can make them as high waisted shorts because I'm really into that boho vibe lately.

What a simple way to make a pair of shorts. You can make granny squares of any size, making shorts of any size easily. You could even add elastic or a drawstring to help them stay up. I am not sure I would ever wear these anywhere I would be seen by anyone, but if made with a nice soft yarn they would make nice sleeping shorts.

Wow. This is so cute. I call this ingenuity. I can imagine making this Granny Square Crochet Shorts for my granddaughter. For a 4 year-old girl, almost 5, I think this will look so cute. You can use your left over yarns or an entirely new set of yarns. You can also make this in solid colors. You can make this for teen-agers, too The possibilities are endless. This will surely turn heads and will ask the mom where she bought it. Thanks for the free pattern.
