Instructions:

  1. Paint balls green.  While they are still wet, sprinkle with green glitter.  The paint will hold the glitter in place as it dries.  Set aside to dry.

  2. Cut a 21” length of red mesh and a 16” length of green mesh.  Lay the red mesh on the table with the ends curling up.  Lay the green mesh in the center of the red mesh with the ends also curling up.  Pull opposite corners of the green mesh to create two points.  Pinch the green mesh together at the center and hold in place.  Fold in two opposite corners of the red mesh to meet in the center overtop of the green mesh.  Pinch the red mesh together at the center with the green mesh and tie together with floral wire.  Flip the petal over and bend in half at the center.  Insert a pin through the center of the mesh, apply glue to the pin and insert into the side of the foam disc.

  4. Cut three more 21” lengths of red mesh.  Fold in the opposite corners and gather the mesh at the center the same way you did in step 2, only without the green center.   Pin these three petals evenly spaced to the face of the disc, about 1” in from the edge.

  5. Cut 10” lengths of the green mesh.  Gather and bend them in half at the center.  Insert a pin through the center and glue in place to the center of the disc.

  6. Glue the balls onto 3” lengths of chenille stem.  Glue the stems into the center of the foam disc.

  7. Optional: Create a petal out of the green mesh and pin to the outside of the disc to create a leaf.

My favorite flower is the buttercup or daffodils because they are the first sign spring is just around the corner.

For the real flowers I love carnations for their long lasting. But for making flowers poinsettia's are my favorite in any medium.

My favorite flower is the poinsettia for being beautiful and at holiday time a special meaning also once the christmas day is over this amazing flower can be displayed until feb 1st. Yes I made this easy breezy and fast fun design added my own flair and am giving 6 of them to my friends for their front doors. I am a crafter and have a lot of deco mesh so to find this pattern was awesome! I made red, pink, white, blue deco mesh poinsettia I added/hot glued plastic christmas ball ornaments into the centers. Will upload a pic asap

Living ones. I love lilacs for their scent, iris for their form and colors and weed flowers for their ease of growing.

Looks like a project I can make, Thanks

Poinsettia is my favorite flower so beautiful for the holidays and after all the holiday fun the poinsettia can still be enjoyed until February. I am making these for 6 of my friends to have for the season easy and quickly done as I have all the materials needed already as I am a crafty crafter. So now I will get busy. Have a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.

May favorite flower is a hyacinth... but I have yet to find a crochet pattern for one )

These are very pretty and not hard to make at all. I read and looked at the directions and it's really quite simple. I don't want to hang them up. I want to use them in a centerpiece. They will be pretty nestled among tall pillar candles. Maybe I can make some gold pointcettia said too.
