  • Faux snow
  • Mini trees
  • Hot glue
  • Buttons and bling
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Thread spool


  1. Hot glue one mini tree to the spool.

  2. Use hot glue to decorate trees with bling and buttons.

  3. Adhere trees to the inside of the lid of the jar.

  4. Add snow.

  5. Seal up the jar.

  6. Tie ribbon around the lid and add a button.

  7. Put your adorable creation on display!

Great little project and I have seen many variations of it using baby food jars for a mini snow globe. Another variation is keeping the lid loose in order to insert some battery operated lights, or small battery flicker candle tea light. You can also mix the 'snow' with white or silver glitter, or even small star confetti which would give it a real winter wonderland look!

I have a ton of Mason jars leftover from my homemade jam, so this would be a fun way to repurpose them for me.
