Painted Butterflies Candle Pillar

Updated March 07, 2018
Painted Butterflies Candle Pillar
Painted Butterflies Candle Pillar

"When Spring is just around the corner thoughts turn to pastel decor. This wood distressed candle pillar carries the theme with butterflies hovering around its base. The butterfly images are airbrushed onto clear film and adhered to transparency sheets which give the wings their shape. Scattered across artificial greens and attached with hot glue, the butterflies seem to take flight. With the six inch candle, this project stands an impressive 16" tall. This is the perfect centerpiece for a dinner table or for any spot in the home. The tutorial includes the free butterfly template."

This candle pillar is giving me some special magical vibes. I love the butterflies flying around the pedestals, this is the most interesting part about this project to me. You can get hear pedestals from the dollar store easily and use chalky paint to create the distressed look.
