"A what! A homemade mirror stand to hold up the mirror. Great idea. This would be so cute and pretty in a girls room on her dresser or even on a make-up table. This paper has a shine to it so it reminds me of something a princess would have. If you have some mirrors around the house or look at yard sales or thrift,grab a fun foam core and some holographic(neverseen that before, but it is beautiful)paper and have a craft day with the girls. Can't find what you want your bridesmaid to wear on their heads than here is a beautiful hat that you can design yourself.Pick out the colors of flowers and even add some lace or a bow and when wedding is over they can wear the hat again or just make one for yourself to wear for a special outing. Super idea and nicely done."

"I remember making some flowers out of tissue paper I think in girl scouts when I was little but have not made any out of napkins. This looks like a good idea to use on tables for a wedding,baby shower or even for your own table and looks like they would be fun to make too. Great summer project for the kids or grandkids. Cute As A Button Quilts has 12 quilt projects. The themes include a few holidays, hearts, cats, java, and angels. The projects include quilts, pillows, table runner, placemats, tote, bag, and a lamp. The colors are lively and bold, yet this book uses fabrics that were very easy for me to find or substitute. One of my biggest aggravations with books that use fabric is that I can’t find anything close to the fabric used in the book, Pike did an excellent job of using great fabric patterns and also making it easy for the reader to “recreate” her projects easily. A friend of mine has been a quilter for over 15 years and even she was drooling over my shoulder as I read this book. I enjoyed Pike’s whimsy and humor. If I had to pick a favorite I’d go with the Bloomin’ Hearts pillow.
