Back to School Card
Get more creative options out of your rubber stamps by combining them with clear beads. This card would be a special treat for a teacher or a back-to-school party invitation.
Materials:
- 4" x 5 1/2" red card and matching envelope
- 4" x 6" Treasure Tape sheet
- Diamond Beadlets®
- Kreinik #12 Braid 100 White, 003 Red, 008 Green, 029 Turquoise, 028 Citron, 022 Brown
- Stack of books rubber stamp (ours has an apple on top too)
- Black stamp pad
- Shallow pan or tray
Instructions:
-
Remove the red liner from the Treasure Tape sheet. With the black ink, stamp your image directly onto the tape. Replace the red liner. Then cut out your image, leaving just a 1/8" border around the stamped lines.
-
Remove the white backing from your image and lay it centered on the front of your red card. Peel off the red liner to expose the top sticky part.
-
Begin thread decorating: we outlined one book with #12 Braid 028, one with 029, and one with 008. Fill in each book with rows of #12 Braid 100. Make the apple with #12 Braid 003, and make the stem with #12 Braid 022.
-
When thread decorating is complete, lay your card in a shallow pan and cover remaining sticky areas with Diamond Beadlets.
