Read all instructions first.

Use a 1/4” seam allowance.

Cutting Instructions

  1. Cut 1 rectangle @5” x 22”
  2. Cut 2 bow templates on the fold
  3. Cut 1 piece 8” long of ¼” wide elastic

Sewing Instructions

Bow

  1. With right sides together sew around the outside edge of the bow template. Leave a 1” opening. Clip pointy ends to lessen bulk fabric in the corners.

  2. Turn right side out. Press.

  3. Topstitch close to the edge.

Scrunchie

  1. Press one short end (5”) of the rectangle 5” x 22” to the wrong side ½”.

  2. Fold with right sides together, lengthwise. Sew long raw edge (22”).

  3. Turn right side out. You will now have a tube. Do not press.

  4. With a safety pin, thread the elastic through the folded end of the tube. Pin elastic so it won’t pull through. Once elastic is all the way through the tube, overlap elastic ½” and zig zag ends together.

  5. Place the raw edge of the tube inside the folded edge of the tube about ½”. Zig zag across opening.

  6. Tie bow around zig zagged seam.
