Create a deck of cards with prompts to help you jump start your art and crafting session. It is fun and can be done quickly or over time."
If you love to create but have a hard time conjuring inspiration, learn how to make paper crafts that will offer inspiration whenever you need it. These Prompt Cards for Creating allow you to make a deck of creative ideas to pull from. Simply make a set of these paper crafts and use them the next time you are stumped for an idea. All you will need to do is pull a card from the pile and follow along. These fun little prompts are sure to inspire for years to come.

Materials List

  • Testors Craft Paints
  • Old business cards or cardstock cut into 2 x 3.5 inch rectangles. As many as you like.
  • Gel Press reusable gel printing plate.
  • White copy paper
  • Self laminating cards
  • Adhesive (dry)
  • Rubber stamp
  • Stamp ink

Instructions

  1. Paint or print over business cards with a variety of paints using multiple textures and techniques. Let each layer dry. Note paint dries very quickly.

  2. Paint back side of cards in a solid color.

  3. Print out or write a selection of suggestions or prompts to creat your projects. Examples are shown in blog post.

  4. Cut out prompts and adhere to solid coloured side of cards.

  5. Stamp an image onto each card to create a homogeneous looking deck. Let dry.

  6. Laminate each card with the self laminating cards.
