DIY painted furniture are a fun way to add color to your space. The cheaper the desk, the better - you'll spend most of your time adding personal, fun touches to the piece. Consider some repurposed furniture ideas when coming up with ways to redo your space - they'll help you save money and get creative at the same time. I found a sweet vintage school desk at a flea market for $5. Not in the best condition but I knew I could fix it up for my little girl!
