Mop or Sweeper Cover Crochet Pattern

This crochet Swiffer sweeper cover is about to become your new best friend.

Mop or Sweeper Cover

Instead of using disposable covers, crochet an economical reusable cover for your flat mop, sweeper or duster. The cover easily slips on and off for cleaning.

For the knit version of this cover, see the Mop Cover Knitting Pattern.

If you have a Swiffer or a similar sweeper, this is the perfect crochet pattern for you. A crochet Swiffer cover means less waste! You can make several crochet Swiffer pads and rotate washing them instead of throwing away so many disposable ones. This is a great easy project that will ultimately be an eco-friendly investment!

Be sure to use cotton yarn for your project as it will absorb well. Do not use acrylic as it won't absorb as well and may even melt if you throw the crocheted Swiffer cover in the dryer! Of course, find more information below about this exciting crochet project.
