Easy Dishcloth Pattern

Notes: 
Approx 9½" [24 cm] square.
To join new color, work to last 2 loops on hook. Draw new color through last 2 loops then proceed with new color.
Carry yarn not in use loosely across top of previous row and work sts around it to prevent stranding.

  1. With MC, ch 36.

  2. 1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. (Ch 1. Miss next ch. 1 sc in next ch) twice. *With A. (1 sc in next ch. Ch 1. Miss next ch) twice. 1 sc in next ch. With MC. (1 sc in next ch. Ch 1. Miss next ch) twice. 1 sc in next ch. Rep from * twice more. 35 sts. Turn.

  8. 7th and 8th rows: As 5th and 6th rows, joining MC at end of 8th row.

  9. 9th row: As 3rd row. Rep 2nd to 9th rows for pat 3 times more, then rep 2nd to 4th rows once. Fasten off.

  10. Edging: With RS facing, join MC with sl st to any corner. Ch 1. 3 sc in same sp. Work sc evenly around outer edge of Dishcloth, working 3 sc in each corner. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
