Repurposed Altoid Tin Assemblages

"I found a bag of Altoid tins in the “FREE” box at a garage sale earlier this summer and I finally got around to turning them into little assemblages with junk I have sitting in the studio. The Altoid tin is a good size for an assemblage and I have piles of mismatched castaways that seem to always go together in a whimsical way. I like to think of my friends when I am making the assemblages because I get theme ideas."

Instructions

  1. Assemble ephemera and sort it according to color or theme.

  2. Think of the assemblage as TOP, MIDDLE and BOTTOM.

  3. The top is the Altoid tin, decide on a theme and decorate the inside and top.

  4. Work on the bottom by decorating and making it stable.

  5. Finish the assemblage by making the middle that is glued to secure the top to the bottom.
