Inspired by Pottery Barn Sheet Music Wreath

"I saw an outdoor wreath at Pottery Barn made with metal maple leaves that inspired me to make large sheet music maple leaves into a pretty fall wreath. I found a free clip art pattern for a maple leaf and sized it to 5 inches wide. The leaves are stained with watered down acrylic paint and decorated with glitter glue to simulate the veins on the leaves. Use pretty gold wire to attach the leaves to a wreath form."

Instructions

  1. print out the maple leaf pattern

  2. I cut out 32 maple leaves and used watered down acrylic paint in fall colors. I found it worked best to cover the leaf with water BEFORE adding the acrylic paint, then the acrylic paint doesn't block out the notes on the vintage sheet music.

  3. After the leaves were dry, I used Ranger Stickles to simulate the leaf veins.

  4. attach a gold wire to the back of each leaf and swirl on to the wire wreath form. Coil the extra gold wire for a decorative end
