How to Crochet the Two Color Easy Afghan Crochet Pattern

Instructions

This pattern works up in an interesting striped pattern lengthwise by making rows of alternating colors. It self edges.

  1. Ch 101 in MC

  2. Sc in 2nd ch, ch 1, skip 1, *sc, ch 1, skip 1* repeat ** to last 2 stitches sc in last 2 stitches. Change colors, ch 1

  3. Sc in 1st sc,*ch 1, sc in ch 1 space*, repeat ** to last 2 stitches sc in last 2 stitches. Change colors.

  4. Repeat row 3 to desired width ending with MC.

  5. I did 2 rows of hdc on each end, leaving the long edges self-edged by the pattern.
