  • cardstock

Instructions

  1. After gathering supplies, cut a heart template from the card stock. Invite kids to trace the heart onto a thin piece of cardboard. Cereal, cracker, or dog biscuit boxes are perfect!

  2. Cut out the heart, and tear a piece of aluminum foil into several long sheets.

  3. Next, have the kids wrap the aluminum foil around the cardboard heart, then paint over it with bright colors.

  4. Sprinkle glitter over the wet paint, then allow the heart to dry.

  5. When the paint is dry, help your kids tape a loop of yarn to the back. The hearts look adorable hung on walls, doors, and windows! You can also string them together to make an adorable DIY Valentine’s Day garland!
