Terrarium Coloring Page Jar Craft
Wondering what to do with coloring book pages? Turn them into this fabulous jar gift!
This beautiful project features a terrarium-themed coloring page adhered to the front of a jar filled with colored pencils. Use a laminator or take your completed coloring page to your local office store to laminate it for you. This will make the coloring page embellishment more durable.
This is a great gift paired with a new coloring book. It's also an effective way to store your own colored pencils at home!

- Glass Jar Terrarium (Leisure Arts #47899)
- Jute Twine (Leisure Arts #48526)
- Watercolor Pencils (Leisure Arts #48582)

- Laminator
- Hook & loop tape
- Dried peas
Instructions

Select a page from chosen coloring book.

Color with dry watercolor pencils.

Apply in one or more layers of same pigment, complementary hues or contrasting colors.

The seven colors of the rainbow were used in example.

When done coloring with dry pencils, use included paint brush from watercolor pencil set to add controlled amount of water to one color at a time.

Rinse brush well after applying to each color.

Let design dry for several hours or overnight.

If only a partial page was colored, cut out the colored/painted design section(s).

Follow the directions on the laminator.

Decorate the glass jar terrarium. Add colored jute twine to rope handle and/or jar if desired.

Clean the glass according to instructions found on hook & loop package.

Apply the tape to the glass and laminated design.

Add dried peas to jar to act as stabilizer for inserted coloring instruments.

Place watercolor pencils deeply into dried peas to stand upright.
