  • Empty key chain
  • 5 in 1 knife cutting tool
  • Razor
  • Etch and pearl tool
  • Roller
  • Liquid sculpey in white or clear

Blooming Vintage Rose Clay Keychain

Clay Rose Keychain Instructions

  1. For more a vintage look you can mix your colored clay with some white to create a more pastel color instead of the bright color it is. 

  2. Roll a piece of white clay into a thick enough slab to fit inside the keychain. Press you keychain into the clay to leave and imprint. 

  3. Using your 5 in 1 knife tool cut out the clay imprint, and fit it into your keychain. 

  4. Take your etch and pearl tool and make some textures for a background on your piece. 

  5. With your mixed clays roll each of them into a long cylinder, and then using your roller roll those logs flat. 

  6. Using your razor cu a lot of little slices in one of yoru colors of clay. 

  7. Pick up one of your small sliced clay pieces and flatten it using your fingers. 

  8. Roll your small flattened slice up to act as the center of your rose. 

  9. Flatten another piece of same color clay, and bring it around the outside of your center. 

  10. Repeat step 9 until your rose is as large as you would like it. 

  11. Use the liquid sculpey as a glue and make a small pool where you would like to place your rose. 

  12. Using your etch and pearl tool, pull out your rose pearls to make your rose look bloomed. 

  13. Repeat steps 7-12 with your other two colors of sculpey clay to create your other two roses. 

  14. To create the blossoms underneath your roses, roll your igloo clay into one long think strand. 

  15. Cut small pieces of your igloo using a razor and roll them into small balls. 

  16. Using the end of your etch and pearl, pick up the buds and drop them into place underneath the roses. 

    *Optional: you can place a small divet into the center of your bud with the other end of your etch and pearl tool. 

  17. When you are finished decorating put your keychain in the oven at 275 degrees and bake it right in the keychain finding. 

  18. When your piece has cooled you can pop your keychian back out and then superglue it back into your keychain.
