If you don't have a fireplace or prefer to hang your stockings in a different location, make a wall stocking hanger for your home! This Noel DIY Stocking Holder is a lovely wooden stocking holder that is quick and easy to make. The simple design actually makes this holder a great fit for other projects like a very simple coat rack or jewelry display. You can make as many as needed to hang your family's stockings. If new little ones are added to the mix, simply make more stocking holders! It's a lovely option for apartments or smaller living spaces as well.

Materials List

  • Wooden plaque
  • Picture frame hardware
  • Hammer
  • Coat hooks & screws
  • Drill
  • Paint/Stain
  • Added decorations (optional)
  • Ruler
  • Pencil

Instructions

  1. Flip plaque over and install picture frame hardware to the back using hammer. 

  2. Paint or stain your wooden plaque.

  3. Use a ruler and pencil to measure where the hooks will go.

  4. Use a bit to pre-drill holes for the screws.

  5. Drill screws and hooks into place. 

  6. Add any decor.

  7. Hang on your wall and get ready for Santa to fill your stockings.
