etchall glass etching products are extremely easy to use. They produce a permanent etch and there is no odor. These products are ACMI certified.
Instructions

To add words to the center of the plate, upload the free pattern to an electronic die cutting machine. Cut from etchmask.

Transfer to the center of the plate, then remove areas to be etched (the words).

Cover the rim of the plate, cover the open areas with etchall creme. Let sit for 15 minutes.

Scrape the creme back into the container, then rinse away any residue. Remove paper and vinyl.

Dip a sea sponge into the creme then gently dab the creme onto the rim of the plate AT THE BACK.

OPTION: You can omit the wording at the center of the plate and simply dab the creme all over the back of the plate with the sea sponge, for a snowy, lacey effect.
