If you're new to the world of crochet and aren't quite ready to make an afghan, try this Cathedral Motif Granny Square Crochet Pattern. This granny square crochet pattern allows you to test your skills without using up a ton of yarn. The pretty colors and simple design make this a fantastic starting point for anyone who wants to expand his or her crochet abilities.
