My favorite occasion to crochet for is anytime! I don’t need a reason! However, If I have to pick one, Christmas would top my list. I love to make lacy snowflakes and bells, etc, etc, from No. 10 thread. My whole family has crocheted stockings. The young tots can get crocheted toys or animals. I work on Christmas all year round, laying aside small gifts

my favorite occasions to crochet is either a rainy day or when Michigan gets one of their weird snow storms. Really relaxing to ease back in lazy-boy and crochet all day!!!!!

I have no favorite time specifically, just all year-round. I love making articles to give away as gifts. Now my favorite thing is the new lacy scarves, which is the rave in our area. Also, I knit and crochet and just completed crocheting a hummingbird valance.

Babies are definitel the best reason to crochet. Next would be a day that ends in Y!!! I don’t really need a reason to crochet, I LOVE crocheting everyday and try to do it that much!!

  5. Jessica Hendeson says

I love crocheting for birthdays. Each project and color can be coordinated to the needs and personality of the recipient, but I don’t have to feel beholden to seasonal themes while I’m working. :)

  6. Nikki Combs says

My favorite time to crochet is when my MS is acting up and my pain level is higher which increases my stress level this seems to help better than medication at times. I may not be able to go out or walk much but crocheting gives me the chance to give back. Crocheting for benefits like hats for preemies, scarves for the Susan Komen walk for breast cancer awareness and, crocheting local nursing home with the residents.

  7. Carolyn Cobb says

I love to crochet ALL the time. I can’t get my hands on enough patterns that I can use! My grandmother and I are the only ones on both sides of the family that crochet anymore! Just wish I would quit losing my hooks down the couch! :-)

I’m an avid crocheter, and I can crochet almost anything that isn’t too complicated. I love the patterns from Fave Crochet, and I love the books from Leisure Arts. I’ve been doing arts and crafts for over 40 yrs. now. That also covers crocheting.
