Physical scrapbooking is fun and is how I record the memories. I do one large scrapbook per year. However, I think it’s worth noting that there are also lots of cool options these days for digital scrapbooking too.

Scrapbooking is a great way to document special moments in your life. Putting together a ready-to-go scrapbook can make a great gift! I’ve made a few wedding scrapbooks for friends, supplying them with different scrapbook paper, embellishments, and ribbons themed around weddings.I also provided them with a binder to put it all together. They loved it! This idea could also be used for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and as baby shower gifts. The possibilities are endless!

I’ve been scrapbooking since high school, but since the arrival of Facebook and Instagram, scrapbooking almost seems like a lost art: now people can document their lives minute by minute, and their friends and family can view those pictures on their phones or computers almost instantly. While I enjoy using social media for trivial life updates, to me there is something valuable about owning a physical scrapbook, a tangible document of the most important and special events in my life, which my children and grandchildren will be able to look at and cherish decades from now.
