  1. It depends more on how picky they are about styles and fabric choices; boys generally prefer more generic, plain coloured choices, whereas for girls the sky can be the limit. However zippers, plackets, linings, etc are the same no matter who you intend to wear the garment – except remember, girls are ‘right-overs’ and boys are ‘left-overs’! ; )

  2. I not sure if it harder but options are fewer and fabric choices tend to be limited.

  3. Ellen Gaynor says:

No, if any thing, they’re easier. Pants, shirts, overalls, etc. are fairly simple.

  4. Peggy Starkey says:

no they are pretty easy when young.

  5. Boys are easier to sew for than girls. Their clothing is pretty much clean simple lines and sewing.

  6. Nina Graves says:

Boys are harder because of all the topstitching

  7. I think it seems harder because there isn’t the variety of patterns (when compared to girls). You have to get a little more creative!

  8. No , I have a son and he wanted camo and elastic waistbands so he was very easy to please.

  9. sharon stasik says:

I think boys are more difficult for me, only because I had three girls, who just loved everything I made for them. I suppose now it would be easier for me.

  10. It’s so much harder to find good boy patterns. They are out there and they’re not any harder to sew, there’s just not the variety of patterns available.

  11. mothergwenn says:

Yes! My boys are both young teenagers and it is just not cool to wear anything made by mom. :P It’s alright with me though as it gives me more time to make stuff for me!

  12. Boys are a little tougher, just because the fabric choices are more limited. How many ways can you sew camo.
