FaveCrafts 365 The Great Peep Debate

Do you love getting Peeps in your Easter Basket? I sure do! But every year about this time starts the Great Peeps Debate at my house. I love Peeps stale and a  bit chewy while the rest of my Easter guest like theirs fresh. When I was a child there was no such thing as a Peep! Then in my teens Peeps became popular, but only available before Easter.

And while others might not like getting older I enjoy it because now Peeps are part of many holidays. Not just for Easter anymore!

And boy do some people get very creative with Peeps. Check out this video. You’ll see a Peep Show Slide Show at the end!

I love my peeps stale, like I always call it, snappy. When they get a few days old and you try to bite into one and pull it from your mouth a piece “snaps” off in you mouth. MMM a snappy peep. You have to have patience to experience this as it does take 3 days or more to get them snappy.

Definitely stale! But I am what I guess you could call a Peep Purist. I only buy them at Easter. Don’t think it’s quite the treat to get them all year long. Some holidays are flavored, yuck.

I’m just catching up with my April favecrafts. You do look funny with those bunny ears! I’m obviously deprived because here in the UK we don’t have Peeps, never heard or seen them before now!

Hi there, I know this is a little off topic, but does anyone else notice a difference with peeps not getting stale this year? I am a chocolaholic and my wife is into the stale peeps, but they don’t seem to be drying out as fast this year. BTW, anyone going to CHA in Chicago this summer?
