I prefer scarves, shawls and cowls… but I would be willing to give ponchos a whirl and see what I think of them…

  2. Loretta says

Oh my gosh, I haven’t thought of wearing a cowl before… imagine wearing it curled up in a comfy chair with a good romance Christmas book, a cup of hot cocoa,(with whipped cream of course since it is the holiday!), and a couple of cookies. Life doesn’t get better than that! I just love the homespun yarns. So soft and fluffy!

  3. Cheryl Runyan says

I love crocheting. I have made ponchos for my granddaughters and they love them. This cowl neck one would be perfect for myself and for gifts!

I love everything I get to make in knitting or crocheting….usually the ponchos I make are done with the granny square shape……..2 large triangles work great for it…..then knit garter stitch the neck…I get to combine both my love of knitting and my enjoyment of crochet that way…….right now working on some mitts…..

I prefer to wear ponchos in the fall unless it’s a real warm one as I feel the cold as soon as the temperatures drop.

Actually, I have never made a poncho but sure would like to. I usually do wraps and big shawls for my friends for their birthdays, of course I make shawls for myself. It would be very nice to do a poncho especially since it is pretty cold in the Fall. I would probably wear it in the beginning of winter or on a nice winter day.
