I like the way that varegated yarn really makes a simple pattern sing….and likewise, a simple yarn showcases the colorway of the yarn. I really like to crochet washcloths, baby sweaters, rugs, hats and scarves with varegated yarn.

I adore the way that it comes up in a random beautiful pattern or splashes color on an otherwise dull project. I love how it may stripe with one pattern then swirl with another.

  4. Teresa (Knittingdancer) says

I like to keep the pattern simple when using variegated yarn. I usually make squares or scarfs using variegated yarn.

Baby booties, especially if the yarn is nice and soft. Thanks for the review and giveaway link!

This variegated yarn makes great crochet baskets. I watched Christine Omdahl. She is on the Knitting Daily TV show last week with a cool crochet weave technique. I had some left over pink variegated yarn. It made the cutest little basket for my little girl. Would love some of that yarn to make another.

I make hats and scarves to donate to hospitals and schools. The varigated yarns make such beautiful colored ones and the yarn is just the right weight for these items.

I like making butterflies. Butterflies were the first thing my Grandma taught me to crochet. I still make them out of respect to her memory. They make Grandpa smile!

Pet supplies! The bright colors really brighten up a shelter.

I make hand-knitted blankets and toys for my local animal shelter and this would be a perfect yarn to try since it looks thick and warm. This would be perfect for my next project!
