Black and White Trimmed Shadow Box

Looking for a craft that stands out from the crowd? Make your own Black and White Trimmed Shadow Box from Candace Jedrowicz and give it as a wedding or anniversary gift. All you need is a shadow box, scrapbooking paper or card stock and tiles.

Materials:

  • Dimensional frame – black
  • White card stock – I used a mottled white with dots of glitter
  • Black and white 1/2″ tiles
  • Shape cutting scissors
  • Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue
  • Hot glue gun

Instructions:

  1. Here is the box I’ll be putting in the frame.

  2. I cut out a magazine photo of a doily and glued it to the back of the frame. I added clear glitter to the white pattern.

  3. I cut strips of card stock using shape cutting scissors on one edge.I used Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue to secure the card stock.

  4. I ran a line of Tacky Glue where the tiles will be and added hot glue to the back of the tiles before placing them. To learn about making polymer clay chocolates check out my Tiled Chocolate Box.
