Kids can help create “stained glass” hearts to hang from windows on Valentine’s Day.
Materials
- Tissue paper in various color
- Black construction paper or cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue
- String, twine, ribbon or thread for hanging
Steps:
- Cut out a large black heart from a piece of construction paper. For the easiest shortcut, fold a sheet in half and draw a half-heart shape. Cut out and unfold.
- Draw shapes on the inside of the heart and cut out. You can have the kids cut out random shapes. It does not have to be planned!
- Cut out small squares of the tissue paper and glue randomly all over the back of the heart, covering the cut-out openings.
- Glue a loop of pink ribbon or string to the back of the heart and hang from a window so that the light shines through the different colors.
- Enjoy your stained glass hearts!
