Rose Ball

  • Pink or red silk roses
  • Foam ball (I used a 5" which ended up being WAY bigger than I thought!)
  • Hot glue gun
  • Ribbon to Hang
  • Terra Cotta Pot or Mug to use as a base

  1. I hot glued the roses onto the Styrofoam ball...the base really helps in the beginning.

  2. Keep on going around...

  3. Add some ribbon to hang it from.

My daughter is having a sweet sixteen party this year. I'm think of this as over the tables decorations in her favorite color. I'd prefer to keep the accent colors in pastels, but we may have to go with the red roses - they are her favorites.

they look really great but could cost a pretty penny if you need to make or use as pewter decortions. Actually stumblef apon a site where they made organze pom-poms which look just as lovely and work out way much cheaper. I am in fact busy making them for my daugthers wedding.

I just looked up on EHow, it will take approx 2 dozen.

I, too, would like to know approximately how many dozen of roses for a 5" ball. I would like to buy them all at once so they would match in color

This project is really a gorgeous one. I made one of these several years ago from a Martha Stewart program I watched. I used the small paper roses with the wires in them (you can find them around bridal making area or craft area at stores). I just cut the wires off at the base. They are only the size of raspberry. I used a 5" ball also but with the small red roses. I LOVE mine and use it all the time. Christmas, Valentines, ect... GREAT project!!!
