  • Walnut Hollow® Creative Metal™ Mats 5x7” #28008
  • McGill® Paper Punch-Stacking Squares 1 ¼”, 9/16”, 15/16” Deckle Designs

  • Metal Lunchbox
  • Metallic Spray Paint
  • 2 Sheets Decorative Scrapbook Paper
  • Decorative Scrapbook Paper Scraps
  • Tag Paper Punch
  • Other supplies: 2 scrapbook brads, ball-peen hammer, black acrylic paint, blue painter’s tape, cosmetic Sponges, fine sandpaper, Metal scrapbook embellishment, paper adhesive, paper hole punch, scissors

Instructions:

  1. Trace front and back of lunchbox onto decorative paper. Cut on traced line.

  2. Adhere cut decorative papers onto lunchbox with paper adhesive.

  3. Cut scraps of decorative paper and adhere to the front of lunchbox.

  4. Using tag paper punch, punch one tag from Copper Metal.

  5. Use blue painter’s tape or masking tape to hold punched Copper Tag onto Design Border. Using the Texture Tool, rub over the Metal to reveal the design image. Continue rubbing until the entire image is visible. Insert brad onto tag.

  6. To refine the embossed image, flip the Metal over and place on the Acrylic Mat. Attach the Nylon Detailer Point onto Handle. Use the Nylon Detailer Point to refine and define the image. The Metal can be turned back and forth on the Acrylic Mat, embossing and debossing the image until the desired effect is achieved.

  7. Cut one 1” x 4 ¾” strip from Copper Metal.

  8. Decorate Copper Metal strip with Narrow Roller. Attach Nylon Detailer Point onto Handle. Place Metal onto Foam Mat. Using Nylon Detailer Point, “doodle” a design onto each side of Metal. You can “doodle” on either side of the Metal to achieve different looks.

  9. Cut one 4 ½” square from Copper Metal. Decorate Metal with Medium Rollers. Refer to photo and punch four squares using McGill paper punches. Decorate the edges of Metal with Medium Roller. Apply alcohol inks onto Metal with cosmetic sponge.

  10. Cut one 4 ¾” x 4 ¾” square from Aluminum Metal. Create design onto Aluminum with ball-peen hammer. Place metal onto acrylic mat and hammer until desired design is achieved. Decorate edge of metal with Medium Roller.

  11. Cut two 1 ½” squares from Brass Metal. Decorate squares with a combination of “doodles”, lines created with Medium Roller, and X’s. Apply black acrylic paint onto metal and immediately wipe off excess with paper towel. Gently sand metal with fine sand paper.

  12. Refer to photo and attach decorated metal pieces onto the front of lunchbox. Use Metal Tape to affix metal pieces in place.

  13. Apply scrapbook brad and embellishment onto Metal with Metal Tape.
