Ombre Tie Dye Technique

A spray bottle helps you use the ombre tie-dye technique on fabric. The ombre tie-dye technique from I Love to Create shows a gradual change in color shade by adding water to the dye. Watch the video of this tie-dye technique below!

Ombre 1

Add water to bottle

Prewash fabric to remove sizing. Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets. Do not dry dress.

Cover work surface with plastic tablecloth. Lay damp dress on prepared surface.

Wearing rubber gloves, add water to dye bottle. Replace cap tightly.  Shake until dye is dissolved.
Ombre 2 Pour into spray bottle

Pour dye from bottle into spray bottle.

Ombre 3 Pour water into spray bottle

Add water to fill bottle. Shake well.

 Ombre 4 Begin spraying dye

Ombre 5 Fill bottle with more water

Fill spray bottle with more water. Shake well.

 Ombre 6 Spray another shade
