Follow the instructions and/or watch the video below to do the classic tie-dye technique of bullseye from I Love to Create. Create circles of tie-dye color on shirts and other fabrics with the bullseye tie-dye technique.

Before beginning this project, read the instructions for the Tulip One-Step Fashion Dye or Tulip Permanent Fabric Dye.  Refer back to them for standard steps.

Bullseye Tie Dye Technique

Now It's Your Turn!

Bullseye 1- Gathering Fabric Gather fabric

Prewash fabric to remove sizing. Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets.

Cover work surface with a plastic tablecloth. Lay fabric flat on work surface.

Decide where you want the center of sunburst to be. Pinch fabric and pull up in tube shape.

Bullseye 2: Binding with Rubber Bands Bind with rubber bands

Place rubber band about 1” from the top, continue banding every 2-3” along length of fabric.

Bullseye 3: Applying Dye Apply dye

Apply dye colors between banded sections.

Cover fabric with plastic. Let set 4 to 6 hours.

Remove rubber bands. Fill washer to large load setting with hottest water suitable for fabric and a small amount of non-bleach laundry detergent. Wash and dry separately.

Awesome! I've always wondered how these were done! #FaveCraftTieDye

FaveCraftsTieDye Best idea ever. Love the different options available.

FaveCraftsTieDye Having adored both making and wearing Tie Dye shirts since I was a kid in the 70's, I am always interested in learning techniques to get the results I see online. The Tulip Bullseye tie dye technique offers a fairly clear tutorial which leads the reader step by step through the process. I find the information to be quite helpful, though I really believe that all artistic tutorials require the inclusion of a photo of the item created as an example. Though i am fa military wit many variations of this technique, I have never made it, and i REALLY longed to see how the presenter'so turned out. I still will recommend this tutorial to anyone looking for a GOOD bullseye lesson.

Please show a photo of the finished project.

i want to try this... :)

I wish the finished product was shown. It is hard to picture how it will turn out. The video is helpful but a still picture on the directions would be great!
