These rings are so cool. I love them. They look casual but very pretty. I have never worked with wire wrapping? I see this video is from 2012. Does anyone know where you can find the Wonder Wizard or is there something different in 2016?I am happy you posted the video so I can see you doing the wrapping. It is easier to watch you do it. I am going to try this technique and see if I can make a ring. Thanks.

@weberme I am not sure if the Wonder Wizard is in stores still, but you should be able to find something similar. Try amazon.com or maybe even eBay for the original. Hope that helps! -Kaylee, Editor of FaveCrafts.com

So the higher the number the thinner the gauge? So what gauge do you need to use? I never knew about the Wire Wizard at all and I see video was from a while ago so do they still sell it? I have never done wire wrapping but the ring is beautiful. Very casual. I will be trying this soon but have projects to finish first. I am glad you put up video because you can see it being done otherwise I do not think I could have figured it out.

To WriterofWords, I think she is using 18 gauge. Artistic Wire can be bought at Hobby Lobby and comes variety colors and gauges. But Beadaholique.com has a better variety. If you don't find what you want trying searching Artistic Wire online. They have recently merged with another company. They used to be located in Elmhurst IL and I was able to stop in and pick up my orders. I truly miss that convenience.

Informative video, but it sounds like she is saying the higher the number, the thicker the gauge. That is false. With wire, the higher the #, the thinner the gauge. Therefore 26, 28 gauge is very thin which is great for intricate patterns. Gauges such as 16, 18 are great for something you don't want to be flexible where the design will come apart.

She never says what guage she is using.

So cool and easy. I have long fingernails and have been intimidated about wire wrapping. The Wire Wizard is SO useful. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Tamara :)
