Embellished Supply Tote

Get organized for the upcoming school year and create an Embellished Supply Tote from Tiffany Windsor. Use glitter and other sparkly embellishments to help your carrier stand out. Add personal messages, phrases  or names to make the project even more special.

Embellished Supply Tote
 

Materials:

  • Plastic totes
  • Aleene’s Tacky Double Stick Sheets
  • Scissors or die cut lettering
  • Glitter – 3 colors for ombre effect
  • Straight pin (to help remove paper backing)
  • Paper plate (or wax paper to catch excess glitter)
  • Soft large paint brush

Instructions:

  1. Cut lettering from Aleene’s Tacky Double Stick Sheets. If using die cuts, place the Sheets shiny side down onto die. Place on tote to determine spacing and placement. Remove paper backing and press in place on tote.

  2. Use fingers to press each letter onto tote along edges.

  3. Remove paper backing. It is helpful to use a pin to lift the paper backing.

  4. Sprinkle first color of glitter over exposed adhesive. (If desired, you can carefully add one color at a time and return excess to original glitter container.)

  5. Sprinkle remaining colors. Rub glitter with fingers to adhere to exposed adhesive in an ombre pattern.

  6. Shake off excess glitter. (Save excess glitter and return to a new container.) Use soft paint brush to remove all remaining excess glitter.
