Beaded Chalk and Bulletin Board

 Keeping track of everyday activities can be glamourous with this chalk and bulletin board combo with beadwork. Makes a great gift for the hardworking moms in your life.

 

Materials:

DecoArt Products Required
Americana Acrylics

• DAO67 - Lamp (Ebony) Black
• DAO69 - Dove Grey

DecoArt Beads

• B1018 - Silver Transparent Seed Bead
• B1039 - Black Solid Seed Bead
• B1040 - Black Solid Bugle Bead
• B1042 - Transparent Bugle Bead

Bead Decor Glue

• DS88-3 - Bead Decor Glue

Supplies

• 3/4" flat brush
• Water container
• Palette or plastic plate
• Paper towels
• Masking or painter's tape, optional
• Coordinating ribbon
• Wood glue
• Framed mini bulletin board (8.25" square)
• Framed mini chalkboard (8.25" square)

Steps:

1. Basecoat frames Dove Grey. Let dry
   .
2. Paint alternating checks loosely or use tape to mask off. Paint open areas Lamp Black. Remove tape.
    
3. Apply glue and sprinkle Silver Seeds and Silver Bugles over Dove Grey checks. Tap off excess beads.
    
4. Apply glue and sprinkle Black Seeds and Black Bugles over Lamp Black checks. Tap off excess beads.
    
5. Measure and cut ribbon, attaching at back of frames.

HELPFUL HINT

To keep work area clean and reclaim excess beads, place project in box or on tray with sides. Beads can easily be poured back into container.
