By:

Looking for something to do with those yarn scraps? The Easiest Yarn Wrapped Spring Wreath should probably be sitting on your door then! This simple wreath is great if you've never made one before and are looking to learn how to make a wreath. This spring wreath tutorial give you a chance to explore your creativity! Add fabric flowers or crochet some leaves to add around the edges. The possibilites are endless.

Materials:

  • 1 foam wreath form
  • Medium cardboard letters spelling out the word of your choice
  • Yarn scraps in assorted colors
  • Mod podge
  • Fabric glue
  • Scrap of fabric for hanging (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Choose the color for your wreath and start wrapping it around the foam form. Coat a little section of the foam with Mod Podge and the wrap the yarn over it. This will help keep your yarn in place.

  2. After wreath is wrapped, start wrapping each letter. Put a little bit of Mod Podge on the back of your letter and adhere the tail of your yarn to the back. It will make wrapping the letter easier.

  3. Arrange your letters on the wreath.

  4. Add fabric glue to only the parts of the letter that are touching the wreath. Set back down.

  5. Once all the letters are set, place a book or a couple books on top of them and let dry over night.

  6. Once dry, tie your piece of scrap fabric to the top of the wreath and hang from your door!
