Very poor excuse for 'instructions' - it was only by reading the comments that I realised the 'block' referred to was/is a single block paver (I MIGHT have seen something that fit the bill some time ago). My local B&Q do some square ones that would look good, but they don't have the 'tang'(?) that would work for the head - AND you don't seem to be able to buy them individually... I suppose a concrete form would be relatively easy to make (and to scale for 'families' of snowmen/women/children, etc.) but I don't have the space to work on such a scale - or the outlet to make it worthwhile.

Poor instructions. What block, aren't there 2 blocks there? Create a cap? on top of the block - really would like more detail here. It is such a cute project, but I cannot make out what is being used for the base "block" material.

the directions are pretty hazy! NOWHERE does it say anything about a paver...just one block...and by that I am assuming they mean a wooden block...and no mention of attaching the block to the paver. Follow these directions and you may have something but it will not be this cute snowman. How could it be when the directions don't even mention the primary ingredient, i.e. the paver????? Don't these folks have proof readers or anyone who checks the directions? Apparently not. How disappointing.

I've made these paver critters for years. About 3 years ago they quit making this particular shape of paver - I checked with all those locales and the company does not make them any more. If there happens to be a McCoy's in your area, they may have some. My clever son-in-law built a form to make 3 pavers at a time. This may be your only choice.

I think these are so cute. I have made several in the past. I can't find the blocks anywhere, I have checked Lowe's and Walmart and no one sells them. This is a fun craft for adults and children.

The directions did not seem complete. It called for fleece but no direction for use. I 'assume' that a normal brick is used and the fleece bulks up the lower torso although no direction given. I would take and cut an empty milk or juice carton and stand a regular brick in it to form the shoulders. Cover and decorate.

You should be able to get the blocks at Home Depot or Lowes. The whole snowman is block.
