Flower Ballet Slippers

Add silk flowers to plain ballet slippers for no-sew embellishment. Coordinate ballet shoes with the rest of your child's costume. This simple embellishment also works for adult ballet flats.

Silk Flower Ballet Slippers

Materials:

Child’s ballet slippers
Kreinik Tapestry #12 Braid in 092 Star Pink,
007HL Pink Hi Lustre, 023 Lilac
Treasure Tape dots
Diamond Beadlets
Shallow pan or tray
Three small silk flower petals (no stems)

Instructions:

Gather your materials. Remove any bows on your purchased slippers.
Lay three Treasure Tape Dots on the slipper as shown. Remove red liner to expose top sticky part.
Attach three silk flowers to the sticky dots.
Lay another Treasure Tape Dot in the center of each flower. Remove red liner to expose sticky tape.
Take your Tapestry Braid and decorate the center of each flower, pressing the thread onto the tape to secure.
Place slipper in your tray, and cover remaining sticky areas with Diamond Beadlets. Tape to dislodge loose beads.
