Pink Painted Daisy Tee

Materials:

  • Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Paint - Ivy Leaf (#51515)
  • Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Paint - Gum Drop (#51513)
  • Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Paint - Purple (#51913)
  • Krylon Easy-Tack™ Repositionable Adhesive - Clear (#7020)
  • Cotton t-shirt (pre–washed)
  • Circle stencils in various sizes (create your own from cardboard, a transparency or sheet of mylar)
  • Daisy mask (Heidi Swapp)
  • Letter mask, “b” (Heidi Swapp)
  • Scrap paper for masking
  • Painter’s tape
  • Sheet of cardboard to fit inside shirt

Steps:

  1. Place cardboard inside shirt to prevent any bleedthrough. Use paper and painter’s tape to mask off areas of shirt that you do not want painted.
  2. Position mask firmly on t-shirt and spray lightly with Purple spray paint, building color with several passes. Let dry and remove mask.
  3. Spray Easy–Tack Repositionable Adhesive on large circle stencil. Position circle stencil on t–shirt, and then position “bb” masks in center of circle. Use paper and painter’s tape to mask off areas of shirt that you do not want painted. Spray with several light coats of Gum Drop paint. Let dry.
  4. Using Easy–Tack, spray additional circle stencils and adhere in random pattern, overlapping previously painted areas. Use paper and painter’s tape to mask off areas of shirt that you do not want painted. Spray with several light coats of Ivy Leaf. Let dry completely.
  5. If desired, repeat on back of t–shirt, using assorted circle stencils and Ivy Leaf and Purple Indoor/Outdoor spray paint. Use paper and painter’s tape to mask off areas of shirt that you do not want painted. Let dry completely.
