Jazzing up a Die Cut

If you have piles of die cuts purchased at scrapbooking shows and stores over the years, spend an afternoon blinging them up with fun fibers and beads. They will transform the die cuts and energize your creativity - you'll be inspired to look at your scrapbook pages in a new way. The secret is in the double-sided Treasure Tape.

Materials:

• Treasure Tape 8x10" sheet
• Diamond Beadlets®
• Kreinik metallic fibers as needed to match your design
• Lace trim or other embellishments as needed to match your design
• Scrap paper as needed to match your design

How-to:

Here a plaid princess dress die cut was traced onto the back of a Treasure Tape sheet and then cut out. The tape was laid over the die cut and the top liner was peeled back to expose the sticky tape. A piece of lace was pleated right onto the tape by starting from the left side of the gown and pressing down a small piece of the lace and then scrunching it up t and pressing down the lace again (like an accordion) until the whole dress is covered. An embellishment was adhered to add extra interest.

Then Diamond Beadlets® were poured over all remaining exposed tape so that the pretty pattern of the dress underneath would show through. The dress can be applied to your page by adhering it with tape sheet scraps.
