A Charming Christmas Quilt

This lovely quilt pattern from Victoriana Quilt Designs is great for those who love to decorate for Christmas.  Made using a simple block formation, this charming quilt is great for beginners and those who are interested in experimenting with quilting patterns.  You could even use this pattern to create a quilt that has any theme you'd like.  Great for country decor or perfect for those who love to curl up by the fireplace, this simple quilt design is fun and easy to make.

Charming Quilt

Materials (for each block--repeat for as many blocks as you like):
Finished block size:  6"x6" square

  • 5 1/2" square-Charm Square Cut (A)
  • 2 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" squares-Sashing Cut (B)
  • 1 1/2" square-Sashing Square Cut (C)

Quilt Block


Instructions:

  1. Cut fabrics A + B +C [Rotary Cutting]
     
  2. Lay out the patches as illustrated.

    Block Layout
     
  3. Sew [Machine Piecing] the patches together, in numerical order, matching the seams.
     
  4. Block [Blocking]. Add a right and bottom border, using the sashing patches, to complete the quilt.
