Christmas Shells and Bows Flower Basket

If you like doing plastic canvas crafts, then try this Christmas shells and bows flower basket. This Christmas craft can be used to display flowers in your home or to give as a Christmas present.

SIZE: 9 ½” high (including the handle) x 5 ¼” across

Materials:

• 1 skein each Jockey Red, Paddy Green and White Red Heart 4-ply yarn
• 1 sheet Ultra Stiff 12” x 18” 7-mesh plastic canvas
• 1 round 6” plastic canvas
• 8 yds. 7-mesh gold metallic yarn (by Rainbow Gallery)
• Red, White and Green silk ribbon for bows.
• Tapestry Needle
• Assorted Silk Christmas Flowers

Instructions:

1. Cut one 35 x 110 holes for basket.
    
2. Cut one 7 x 89 holes for handle.
    
3. Stitch basket as shown on graph.
    
4. Stitch all unshaded areas with white continental stitches.
    
5. Overcast top with green yarn.
    
6. Cut 2 rows off round plastic canvas, leave unworked and with green whipstitch to the bottom of the basket.
    
7. Stitch handle as shown on graph and stitch all unshaded areas with white continental stitches, overcast with green and sew onto the basket.
    
8. Sew 1 red, green and white bow to each side of the handle.
    
9. Fill basket with flowers.
