Make your next gift memorable. Give this Tea Time Pop-Up Gift Card from Tiffany Windsor - it's cute and fun. This tutorial uses embossing and paper craft techniques to create a unique project.
- Core’dinations cardstock
- Sizzix Texture Boutique
- Small paper flower
- Tiny rhinestone
- Matching ribbon
- Ecodellies flowers
- Tea bags or loose tea
- Glassine bags
- The first thing I needed to do was decide on a card front. The die cuts I received were a very quiet taupe so I knew I needed to spice up the coloring. I grabbed a piece of Core’dinations cardstock, embossed it with my Sizzix Texture Boutique, and sanded back to reveal the core color. I knew that the inside of my card was going to be bold and busy so I decided to add just a small paper flower, tiny rhinestone and matching ribbon leaves to the front of my card.
- I have a collection of my Ecodellies flowers that I sew together from stray petals so I found one with colors that would enhance the taupe paper and complement the spicy red. To cover the “for you” die cut, I cut a matching shape from the Core’dinations cardstock, embossed it and glued it in place. Topped with the flower, it makes a pretty surprise when you open the card.
- You can see here the beautiful lines of this card when you open it. The arched design pops up when you open your card! You can see that my tea bags are tucked in behind the pop-up. (Since the tea bags are thicker than the traditional gift card that this die is designed for you are going to have a very thick card!)
- Place your tea bags – or loose tea – into glassine bags (I love to emboss my glassine bags) and tuck them into your pop-up gift card.
