Stitching on Paper

Instructions:

  1. Choose your type of stitch. I mostly use a straight stitch or zig zag for paper projects. Use an Upholstery thread such as Gutterman.

  2. Adhere paper together remembering not to glue behind where you will be stitching.

  3. Lower your needle manually to start and then lower your presser foot down.

  4. Start slowly and moved around using the guides near the needle to make sure you get a straight line.

  5. When you’re done sewing, tug the bobbin thread from underneath to pull through the top thread.

  6. To secure you can tie in a knot or tape down. Try using some fun Washi tape to cover your thread is it will be visible. The recipient will appreciate the pretty colors.
