Embellished Fish Card

We can't resist the card aisle for the colorful images found on blank cards. Personalize them, giving a boutique look, by adding threads and beads. Shiny embellishments are perfect for cards like this fish-themed design.

Embellished Fish Card Project

Materials:

Purchased card
8" x 10" sheet of Treasure Tape
Diamond Beadlets®
Mrs. K's Dimensional Threads in colors to match your card
Shallow pan or tray

Instructions:

1. Cover the front of your purchased card with the Treasure Tape sheet, cutting to fit if necessary.

2. Remove the red liner to expose the sticky top.

3. Begin thread embellishing: outline your design with Kreinik #12 Braid, and fill in parts of the design with #12 Braid, Kreinik Japan Thread, Kreinik Facets and more. Match the thread color to the color of the design on the card.

4. When thread decorating is complete, place your card in a shallow pan or tray and cover all remaining areas with Diamond Beadlets.
