Safari Margarita Glass

Use your animal instincts and glossy, enamel paint to create this jungle-inspired beverage glass.

Materials:

Supplies

• 1/2" and 1" flat brushes
• 5 round brush
• Foam plate
• 1" painter's tape
• Craft knife
• Oversized margarita glass; HITC, 18960RR/SKU 257570 (Michael's)

Instructions:

Preparation: Remove all stickers or labels from surface before painting.

1. Tape off 1" stripe around rim of glass, securing edges well to avoid seepage.
2. Paint Napa Red stripe below rim and along raised area at base of stem; let dry after each coat.
3. Paint stem White, allowing to dry after each coat.
4. Paint bottom of base Honey Brown; let dry after each coat.
5. Use Dark Chocolate and end of finger to paint thick irregular dots on top of base; let dry.
6. Use round brush and Black to paint three splotches along edge of dots on base. Paint irregular stripes around White stem. Let all dry.
7. Before removing tape at bottom of stripe, run edge of craft knife blade along edge of tape to keep edge of painted stripe even.
