How to Transform a Dollar Store Crown into a New Year's Crown

By:

Turn yourself or someone you love into a queen for a day. Learn how to transform a Dollar Store crown into a New Year's crown using a few simple supplies. Dip into your stash of beads, rhinestones and stickers to create a sparkly wearable from Heidi Borchers that looks adorable.

Start by purchasing a crown at your local discount or dollar store. Cut a long piece of wire and wrap it around the crown. Add beads to the 22 gauge wire and wrap it around the crown. Wrap it strategically so you create your desired design. Cut out another piece of 22 gauge wire and glue butterfly stickers to the ends and attach the pieces to the crown. Add more beaded swirls to the crown to create a more ornate look.
